What is the largest country subdivision in the world?
This might appear to be a tough question at first, but what I mean by this is what is the largest state or province in the entire world. Alaska might be a good first guess, but it quickly becomes apparent that this couldn’t be further from the truth. As it turns out, Russia is home to the largest subdivisions in the world, the largest being the Sakha Republic, which is huge enough to be the 8th largest country in the world.
