Julian Assange inadvertently is challenging the European Arrest Warrant by defending himself against it’s use to have him extradited to Sweden for questioning rather than for an actual arrest which is what this legal tool was written to streamline between countries. Sweden wants to question Julian Assange over alleged misconduct with two Swedish women, both of whom are not pressing charges.
Inka Stafrace talks to Senator Scott Ludlam (Australian Green Party) outside the High Court in London explaining why this case is so challenging to the credibility of the European Arrest Warrant and what the implications are in regards to Julian Assange being extradited to Sweden who have a more direct relationship with the United States than the UK have in terms of extradition between the two countries.
