Waste incinerators play an important role in dealing with the vast amounts of waste that society produces. However, they also emit harmful pollutants that can negatively impact the air quality in the surrounding areas. In order to mitigate these effects, new emissions standards are being proposed that could significantly improve air quality near waste incinerators.
